Haha, how about that, lost a harddrive a few days before getting a new computer. |

Soul of the mind, key to life's ether... Soul of the lost, withdrawn from its vessel... May strength be granted so the world might be mended... ... So the world might be mended ... |

| I got bored. |

Then I did a thing.
Short version: Ex-special forces maids and a walking disaster trigger work for the (not entirely) benevolent dictator of a banana republic under entirely false pretenses motivated primarily by greed. It's not porn, not fanfic and not poetry, which is shorthand (or longhand, seeing as it's more words) for "nobody cares." I say that jokingly but honestly it's kind of true; it's hard to get an even break unless you like writing about people fucking fatties, are capable of endless permutations of elements in the Kingdom Hearts series or a really bad T.S. Eliot impersonator.
I should probably be careful with what I say and think, though. The last time someone followed all this through to the logical conclusion they created Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. |

THE BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE ARE OVER

as ants are to us so too are we to them - exist parallel to time - past, present and future happen at same time - changes in past are seen immediately in future - all is as planned
rough knowledge of man, but flawed - man is comforted by warm smile - avatar of beings smiles warmly all the time - no changes in death, life, ruin, order, chaos - even if being had knowledge of human emotions, still has no emotional investment in works of man - actual investment may be worse - playthings of great & terrible power
perfect in appearance - TOO PERFECT - man knows what is too good to be natural - not attractive; so perfect it is repulsive on primal level - conscious mind does not understand why
power beyond mortal ken - not bound by reality's laws for they bring their own with them - overlapping (contradictory?) laws warp reality - rot, corruption, decay, madness - shape the minds of mortal man to their will? - alter past so minds warp in ways they want - only major players in act matter - others fall by wayside (madness & death?)
grand experiments by unfathomable beings to understand man - never fully in their grap? plots without end?
merging worlds? hybrids/amalgams of separate people? crossed universes? - what is extent of power?
---
Meanwhile, people wonder why I'm so secretive about what I jot down in public. |

| Found on a piece of paper: |
[Dec. 25th, 2009|06:44 pm] |
vampric powers do not lie in the physical but in the mental - hypnotic suggestion? mind-altering physical presence? - physically v. repulsive (Count Orlock) and long age means nuances of human contact are forgotten - ONE USED TO CONCEAL THE OTHER - relies on mind-reading and control to say what people want to hear and make them see what vampires want them to see - paragons of beauty, all Glamours/veils - target the young; more easily manipulated (more impulsive, less strength of will to resist)
all human senses are controlled by the mind - control the mind and you control the body - what is romance with handsome man is hallucination as monster feeds on you - DO NOT BE FOOLED
-
Every so often I find pieces of paper with stream of consciousness ideas scrawled on them that I thought were breakthrough revelations at the time and, as such, had to record for posterity before they disappeared forever. I think this one had something to do with Twilight.
Truth be told, I'm a little worried by that "do not be fooled" at the end. |

Bought a new computer. Another desktop. Phenom II 965, Radeon HD 5850, 8GB DDR3. Hope it lasts me 5-6 years. Decided not to get a laptop, but I'll probably get a ~$250 netbook sometime during the coming semester. |
